YET AGAIN ESSEX IS COVERING FOR PAEDOPHILES

Copied from BBC News (21/09/2012)

A social worker with Essex County Council who had extreme pornography on his home computers has been given a one-year community order.

Stewart Ford, 48, of Little Wakering, denied possession of 50 extreme videos and images, but was found guilty by a Southend Crown Court jury on Thursday.

He must also carry out 40 hours of unpaid work.

After the hearing, the council said Ford was suspended as an adult social care worker and later dismissed.

Police had arrested him on unrelated offences, which were later dropped, and found the extreme pornography after seizing a number of computers from his home in Barrow Hill Road in August 2010.

Det Con Bob Evans said: “This is not a victimless crime as all those persons taking part in the extreme pornographic videos are themselves victims being exploited.

“As a social worker, Ford would have been fully aware of this.

“At no time during the investigation has Ford explained as to why he should be found in possession of these images.”

A council spokesman said: “As soon as an allegation was made against Stewart Ford in October 2010, he was suspended from his role.

“Following an investigation he was later dismissed from his role.

“We would like to reassure our residents that we complete a number of pre-employment checks on all our social workers and the safety and wellbeing of all people that receive care from Essex County Council is of utmost concern to us.”

NOTE:  With reference to Essex social services comment above, I have compiled research that councils within Essex were poaching social workers from foreign countries.

CRB Checks only start from the day these new social workers, often unqualified, and may have criminal pasts arrive in the country so they are with our kids without anyone knowing  who they actually are and what background they have.  Google Linda Barnes, social worker, that mislead authorities and illegally removed children from loving parents despite having conviction for conspiracy to murder her husband.

I will post an article of employing social workers from abroad.

  1. Polly Ticks says:

I think with regard to Safeguarding Children, we need to change the law. The fact is that paedophiles are very clever at manipulation and covering their tracks using fear and intimidation. If victims report abuse, even if there isn’t enough evidence for legal action, the complaint should lie on the file as if stronger evidence becomes available, that can also be taken into consideration.

What is evident, is that the authorities use the excuse about lack of evidence in order to excuse not taking action. If a murder is committed, they go out and actively search for evidence but seem not, in the case of child abuse. They seem not to have a policy of being proactive in the case of child or teen abuse. The damage caused to children often results in them being institutionalised whether in a children’s home, hospital treatment for suicide attempts or physical and psychological damage – drug and alcohol abuse, or in a prison if they go on to commit crimes to support drug habits etc. Dealing appropriately with victims can help to save money in the long run as goodness knows how much is spent on picking up the pieces across prison, psychiatric services, unemployment, medical treatment, crimes of acquisition or violence; domestic violence, alcoholism and drug abuse etc etc.
The number one aim should be to protect children but it also makes sense financially to provide the appropriate support and action for victims as goodness knows the long term costs to society when damaged children grow into damaged adults.

The one and only good thing that has come out of the Savile Scandal is that at last the voices of victims is being heard and many people who have been victims of those in powerful positions, feel able to at last speak out and release years of stress and tension and psychological suffering.

Thank you for your contribution to revealing the extent of insitutional abuse and the hypocrisy of authorities who care more about their image than they do about the suffering of children and young people.

    • Thanks for posting and yes I know where you are coming from. John Hemming MP tried to change / amend the law only on 26th October 2012 with his Family Justice Bill but it got rejected, Only around 10 MPs turned up to vote.

I don’t know if you have read my blog but I am a father that had my daughter removed (and I was in a professional role) for reporting abuse. It was event that my daughter was intimidated to keep quiet from the night terrors directly after she disclosed to her nursery, whereas social services said what she said is “normal” she also had medical problems, we feel, linked to abuse. The expert witness said it was fantasy masturbation. the intimidation not only came from the abuser but the child’s mother hit the child to stop her talking and also tried to suffocate her (words of the mother “had thoughts of”; words of child “mummy put a pillow over my head and tried to kill me”) Social Services still had no concerns.

We know they cover up and am urging professionals to come forward and blow the whistle.

I was only talking to a friend a few days ago about children in care and she alerted me to a case.
Google Bill Starling, http://chris-ukorg.org/2012/04/16/bill-starling-basildon-hornchurch/, he run two care homes and abused children.

If you research this case most of his victims went on to be criminals, commit suicide etc
